MEET THE CO-HOSTS
UNSW Cities Institute
The Cities Institute brings together a spatial understanding of urban human conditions together with world class research, enabling city systems to transition at pace in response to complex legacies of settlement, climate change, community marginalisation and neglect in the Asia Pacific region. The Institute bridges new knowledge with practice and policy and strategically accompanies key partners to support Country centred and community-determined outcomes.

Healthy Cities Australia
At Healthy Cities Australia, we turn preventative health into practical action. We design and deliver programs, campaigns, and partnerships that make it easier for people to eat well, move more, breathe cleaner air, feel connected to their community, and build climate resilience. We believe that health is created in the places where people live, work and play, and that the policy environment and design of these places is fundamental to creating and sustaining health.
Our work is grounded in equity—supporting people in lower socio‑economic circumstances, those facing cost‑of‑living pressures, minority communities, and populations more susceptible to chronic disease. By addressing the social, environmental, and economic drivers of health, we help prevent chronic disease and create healthier, more inclusive cities for everyone.
